A Shared Vision for Nepal’s Youth
At No Limits Nepal, our mission to uplift rural communities and empower local change-makers is rooted in lived experience — and one of the most powerful connections to that story is our partnership with Papa’s House, a beloved organization that has shaped the lives of hundreds of children and young adults in Nepal since 2005.
Papa’s House began as a single safe haven for orphaned, abandoned, and at-risk children. Founded by Michael Hess — affectionately known as “Papa” — it quickly grew into a multifaceted care organization offering residential support, education, healthcare, and personal development for youth who needed it most. Over the years, it became a second home to over 170 children, including our co-founder, Khemraj Shahi, who lived at Papa’s House from the age of 8 to 20.
It was within this nurturing environment that Khemraj developed the resilience, education, and leadership that would later lead him to co-found No Limits Nepal.

Our Personal Connection
In 2019, No Limits Nepal co-founder Philip Freeman arrived in Nepal as a volunteer through Papa’s House. During his five months of service, he met Khemraj — then a young adult running a tour company and giving back to the country that raised him.
Their friendship blossomed into a powerful collaboration. A few years later, a shared desire to help a struggling single mother in rural Nepal became the spark for something much bigger. That small act of kindness grew into a larger vision — one rooted in dignity, empowerment, and community-driven change. Thus, No Limits Nepal was born.

Carrying the Torch
As of 2025, Papa’s House has gracefully transitioned from residential care to a broader, community-based model of support. In line with a directive from Nepal’s Child Rights Council and evolving needs on the ground, children no longer live in Papa’s House facilities. However, the commitment to their success has never wavered.
Today, the organization continues to provide:
Educational assistance for children attending Skylark School
After-school enrichment at the Chelsea Center
Family-based and financial support for adolescents and university students
Community outreach, including literacy programs, psychosocial support at Kanti Children’s Hospital, and aid to visually impaired youth
To ensure the legacy and impact of Papa’s House lives on, No Limits Nepal is honored to serve as its official U.S. partner, assuming the role formerly held by Nepal Orphans Home (NOH). As a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit, we are entrusted with financial fiduciary responsibility and donor engagement, ensuring transparency, accountability, and continuity in support of Papa’s House’s evolving mission.

What This Means for Supporters
When you donate directly through No Limits Nepal’s website, you’re supporting our grassroots programs in rural Nepal — designed and led by local leaders to empower communities from within.
If you’d like to support the ongoing education and development programs of Papa’s House, you can do so through a dedicated donation link hosted on their website. This link is managed by No Limits Nepal, with 100% of those donations allocated exclusively to Papa’s House initiatives. We maintain a separate account to ensure transparency, accountability, and clear distinction between donations made to No Limits Nepal and those earmarked for Papa’s House.
We see this partnership as a full-circle moment — one that honors the past, supports the present, and builds toward a future of resilient communities led by empowered individuals like Khemraj.
By supporting No Limits Nepal, you’re also helping carry forward the legacy of Papa’s House, ensuring that every child, regardless of background, has the chance to dream, grow, and thrive.
Together, We Go Farther
